P.A.W.S (Protecting Animals With Schools) brings wildlife learning to life for children of all ages.
From first encounters with nature, to in-depth curriculum days - we create memorable experiences that nurture curiosity and care for the natural world. We also offer children the opportunity to meet, handle and work along side a verity of animals including :- guinea pigs, sheep, chickens, African dormice, giant African land sails, rats and so much more.

✦ Nursery & School Visits

We work with nurseries and primary schools all year round, delivering engaging wildlife sessions that link directly to the current curriculum. Our “Super Learning Days” are tailored to topics pupils are already exploring such as life cycles, habitats, ecosystems and more -so nature becomes a living, hands-on lesson.

✦ Field Trips to Our Nature Site

Schools, home-educators and groups are invited to our beautiful outdoor site in Bolton.
Here children can explore our site, taking part in activities such as pond dipping, animal identification and nature journaling. They will get hands on experience whilst learning about our wonderful sheep, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, African dormice, hedgehogs, hamsters, bearded dragons, stick insects and much more.

✦ Home-Schooling Adventures

We welcome home-educating families for dedicated wildlife sessions that combine structured learning with plenty of free exploration and craft stations.

✦ Toddler Nature Groups

Gentle, sensory sessions that introduce little ones to the sights, sounds and textures of the outdoors- perfect for first experiences with wildlife. We also have acivities that link with EYFS for preschoolers and each session is linked with a story book.

✦ Holiday Clubs & After-School Clubs

Fun, hands-on activities keep children connected to nature outside of the classroom. Each session is designed to inspire creativity, teamwork and a deeper love of the environment and animals. Children are encouraged to handle a variety of animals correctly, respecting each individual animal’s needs and wants. (If an animal doesn’t want to be handled, we respect their wishes and do not handle.)
