Little Minds Spark BIG Changes
About P.A.W.S – Protecting Animals With Schools
At P.A.W.S, we believe that children who connect with nature grow into adults who care for it.
We are a team of two mums who founded P.A.W.S and we share a love of animals, both domestic and wild.
Our mission is to inspire children to notice, protect and celebrate the incredible wildlife right here in Britain. We also express the need for animal welfare, correct husbandry and handling for all types of animals.
What We Do
We partner with schools and nurseries to bring engaging, hands-on outdoor education to children of all ages.
Through our carefully designed sessions, children are taught:
The importance of British wildlife and conservation.
How to care for animals at home and in nature.
How small, everyday actions can make a big difference for future generations.
We aim to educate children about nature through activities such as scavenger hunts, nature journaling, pond dipping, mammal and insect identification, leaf printing, cloud spotting and creating mini ecosystems.
These memorable outdoor experiences strengthen children’s understanding of life cycles, ecosystems and animal welfare while boosting their confidence and love of the natural world.

Why It Matters
“The Earth has music for those who listen.” – George Santayana
Nature has valuable lessons for our children.
Whether it’s the calming sounds of waves, the crunching of leaves underfoot or the gentle splatter of raindrops - these natural sounds can bring tranquility and joy.
Outdoor learning is proven to support children’s mental wellbeing—reducing stress, lowering anxiety and sparking imagination.
The sounds and sights of nature improve mood and help children flourish from birth, through their teenage years and beyond.
By spending time outside, away from screens, children discover the wonder of wildlife and learn lessons that stay with them for life.
Our Promise
“If children don’t grow up knowing about nature and appreciating it, they will not understand it.
And if they don’t understand it, they won’t protect it.
And if they don’t protect it, who will?” – Sir David Attenborough
At P.A.W.S, we combine passion with deep knowledge of British wildlife, ecology and animal care.
We believe that when children experience the magic of nature first-hand, they are inspired to care for it.
Our sessions nurture curiosity and respect for every creature, large or small. This will empower the next generation to protect the living world.
